In a departure from America's tradition of defending one of its closest allies from UN resolutions, the Obama Administration abstained during a vital vote, which aims to halt any Israeli expansion and construction on the West Bank and eastern Jerusalem (refers to each as "Palestinian territory occupied since 1967"). Typically anticipated to veto any anti-Israel sanctions at the United Nations, US Ambassador to the UN, Samantha Power, allowed the vote to pass unchecked, thus betraying Israel and reinforcing the recognition of a Palestinian state.

But perhaps even worse than allowing such a double-crossing resolution to pass, is the subsequent speech delivered by Secretary of State John Kerry that followed. Riddled with exaggerations, lies, and further insults to Israel, Kerry shamelessly proceed with assertions that only further highlight the incompetent disconnect and delusions of this administration.

Secretary of State John Kerry's Speech

A few highlights from the Obama tool's hour-long smear of Israel (You know it's a bad day as a liberal when CNN dubs your speech as a "miss") :

"Israel’s greatest friend and supporter... No American administration has done more for Israel’s security than Barack Obama’s … Time and again, we have demonstrated that we have Israel’s back." ("HAHA... oh wait he was serious. Are you kidding me?!" - my actual reaction).

"President Obama has been deeply committed to Israel and its security... The two-state solution is the only way to achieve a just and lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians." (funny how they're stressing that Israel does not have rights to territory, while simultaneously insinuating that Palestine is a recognized state. Coincidence....?)

"Militant group" - when referring to the Hamas (maybe this moron should check his facts, because even the United States recognizes Hamas as a radical Islamic terrorist group) - Make no mistake, by doing so, he and this administration are also putting Hamas on par with the democratically elected government of Israel (you know, the only nation in the entire Middle East that holds democratic elections... Obama Administration once again showing its true colors as a supporter of terrorists and Muslim extremists).“Israel can either be Jewish or it can be democratic, but it cannot be both.” (so Kerry is an antisemite? Yeah I know, I'm not usually one for identity politics, but it's pretty clear how he feels about Israel and her people.)

I don't know which statement is the most ridiculous, but find the last a perfect personification of the typical arrogance associated with the ideological clowns comprising the Obama Administration. One thing is for sure, they're all laughably condescending in tone, with a certain "I know what's best for you," quality.

Benjamin Netanyahu's Response

Labeling John Kerry's speech as, "biased," and ignoring the true roots of the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, the Israeli Government was quick to provide push back against the Secretary of State's remarks. the Israeli Prime Minister's Office provided the following comments in response:

“Like the resolution that John Kerry advanced at the UN [Security Council. For over an hour, Kerry dealt obsessively with the settlements and almost didn’t touch on the root of the conflict — the Palestinian opposition to a Jewish state in any boundaries."

"I must express my deep disappointment with the speech today of John Kerry... Israelis do not need to be lectured of the importance of peace by foreign leaders." (Oh BB, now you know how Americans have felt for the past eight years under this administrations, "do as I say, not as I do," attitude towards others.

"Now, I must express my deep disappointment with the speech today of John Kerry. A speech that was almost as unbalanced as the anti-Israel resolution passed at the U.N. last week. In a speech about peace between Palestinians and Israelis, Secretary Kerry played lip service to the unremitting campaign of terrorism that has been waged by the Palestinians against the Jewish state for nearly a century. What he did was to spend most of his speech blaming Israel for the lack of peace by passionately condemning a policy enabling Jews to live in their historic homeland and in their internal capitol Jerusalem. Hundreds of suicide bombings, ten of thousands of rockets, millions of Israels in bomb shelters are not throwaway lines in a speech. They’re the reality that the people of Israel had to endure because of mistaken policies. Policies at the time won the thunderous applause of the world."

This also follows assertions from the Israeli Government that they have solid sources, linking the Obama Administration directly to the UN resolution (working behind the scenes of course). Would anyone seriously doubt that Obama had his hand in this or be surprised at this point? It's got his fingerprints all over it...

President-Elect Donald Trump's Response

Here are just a few of the reassuring tweets that President-elect Trump provided Israel, following such shameless backstabbing:

I think it is safe to say that Israel will sleep much sounder with President Trump at the helm, who has already purveyed his desire to honor our long-standing alliance.

Thanks for the feedback Savvydating! I am all about calling it as I see it and no-holds-barred commentary.

Your input in these commentary sections are always a welcomed sights, as they are very informative and add to the discussion. We often seem to be on the same page, and once again, this is no exception. This President is an absolute disgrace and I actually just read the Palestinians are pushing for even more sanctions.

My Two Pennies, I have to say, I really appreciate your articles. You have a knack for exposing the truth in a professional manner, but with a bit of tongue and cheek, which is most certainly allowed and needed in an opinion piece which is actually informative.

As for Obama, he has consistently defended Islam---even radical Islamist actors. Why he does so is anyone's guess. I've even wondered if he has his eye on becoming the head of the UN.

In any event, Obama is no friend to Israel. He has shamelessly and consistently snubbed Netanyahu. He sides with the Palestinians. Maybe he was influenced by his Muslim fathers, or his grandparents atheism and communism, or maybe he believed all the liberal professors at Columbia College or Harvard University....or even Jeremiah Wright, his pastor of 20 years, who preached hatred.

This is a man who made a fool's deal with Iran, who did absolutely nothing serious to prevent the calamity in Syria, which has caused the death and displacement of 400,000 plus people. Obama is a bad actor, to say the very least.

Thank you for another fine article.
