Shame on Schumer

Her Web Holds a Story

Harlotte is at the Table

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Saturday January 20, 2018. Spider Harlotte is in a tizzy over the disgusting government shutdown. She is trying to unwind by preparing breakfast for all the Poppers. This morning she is creating a batch of Three Cheese Quiches for our enjoyment. Won't you join her for a delicious breakfast and a chat about bad behavior in Congress? We hope to see you soon. The door will be open, so please come in and a grab a Bloody Mary at the door.

What Have You Done?

Abuse of Power

Thanks so much for joining us this morning. Our government is not open for business thanks to infantile and spiteful politicians who enjoy playing it fast and loose with power. The Schumer Shutdown tells a very ugly story about politics and politicians who display utter contempt for American citizens. Schumer and his ilk have tied the funding of the government to legislation about the Dreamers. One has nothing to do with the other, but Schumer and his pals are using the DACA program as a weapon against President Trump and most of America. He has created a problem where no problem exists. He has acted in bad faith, because he can. In truth, he and the rest of the Dems could care less about the Dreamers. They aren't really people without a home, they are, instead, future voters. Think about it, there are probably about 3.6 million illegal immigrants out there seeking amnesty. Congress likes to talk about a number around 800,000, but the numbers are much higher. If the Democrats can offer these people full amnesty, and if the so-called DACA kids are grateful, our nation will be run only by the Democrats.

The shutdown leaves our military high and dry. Never mind that hard working Americans will have to work without pay because of a cheap stunt. If this isn't an abuse of power, then I don't know what is. The truth is that Schumer and those who voted with him are hypocrites. In 2013, Democrats called Republicans who would not go along with the Obama agenda "anarchists" and "arsonists." This time around Schumer has taken the opposite position, because he believes it serves the interests of his party. The one thing missing from this change is the American voter, and that has to stop.

What About Us?

We go to the polls and elect people to represent us in Washington. We are told that they work for us , and will work tirelessly on our behalf. They get elected, head for D.C. and never look in the rearview mirror again. They don't need us anymore. They got what they came for. They'll come back years later when it's time to run again, hoping that we won't remember being forgotten. None of these people in Congress should have the right to shut down our government. This practice has to be outlawed. It is childish, mean-spirited and dangerous. Congress should not have the ability to highjack the lives of American citizens. Shutdowns are cheap tricks, and we deserve better, much better.

Puppet on a String

It's time to get out the scissors and cut the strings that control us. We place people in office and we can remove them. We have a lot of work to do in that department. People like Schumer have been in Washington way too long. It is time for retirement. If only those that elected him realized that he and others just like him have done absolutely nothing to make their lives better. The inner cities are a perfect example of why cleaning house is so important. Year after year, cities facing poverty and crime elect the same old crowd, usually Democrats, who keep the status quo. They accomplish zero, and continue the pain. It is time for a change. It is time to rid ourselves of pompous blow-hards who suck all the air out of the room. What do we have to lose? What do we have to lose?

Harlotte's Song

Oh, what a tangled web we weave

When first we practice to deceive...

      Good Evening brad,

First, I now yearn for those hotdogs and knishes. As far as Schumer the fool is concerned, and Jerry Brown the vacant hippie, I would like to see them exiled to Elba! See you at the Inn.

      Good Evening Pino,

Schumer is a first class idiot, and I truly hope the Dems running in November feel the pain. This faux phony protest was an enormous miscalculation on Schumer's part. Most normal Americans know the score. As far as California is concerned, if they allow illegals to vote, the entire state's votes should be wiped out. There have to be enough orange jumpsuits for the Governor and all the other fools who feel entitled to break the law. See you at the Inn. I'm ordering pizzas for all of us.

      Good Afternoon POP:

The shutdown is over, and like Rush just said, it didn't even last as long as a three day holiday. Shumer has been shown to be a fool and a bad negotiator. The Dems were offered a plan for amnesty; they declined; then a plan to include CHIP, they declined. These were the programs they wanted. The Republicans gave them everything they wanted and they still said NO! Prior shutdowns have all been blamed on the Republicans and they stood there and took it! No more! This one is on the Dems and they don't like it. Lots of people are blaming Shumer for this. What a hoot!

Now for the poor government people who don't get paid. This is so incorrect. What they get is time off and then when they get back to work they get their paychecks without deduction for the shut down time. We would never see a shutdown again if the government employees were told that any time off for the shutdown will give you no pay for that day. THEN you will never see a shut down again.

Now on to California. As a taxpayer, I am against my tax money going to bail out California. Now they want to give illegal aliens the right to vote. Why does the government say to California, do it and you lose all the money we need to send you to keep you afloat? Maybe you can write a hub and expand on that issue.

I am off to the Inn.... I see my friend Maven and Taxlarry will be there as well. I will be in great company, along with you, POP.

The point you made about what Schumer said in 2013 compared to what he just said is the key to show that he and the democrats will use anything and everything to get their way.

Look to California to see the future, if democrats take the country.

The Democrats are the party of the poor, except it is not the poor Americans, or even Legal Immigrants that they support. It is the Unvetted Immigrants from war torn countries around the world, and those Illegals that can slip into our country. Once in the country, the Democrats treat them like family, using our money and our country to reward them for their criminal actions.

Some of them become are guests, causing the prisons, and jails in our country to hold more than 2 million criminals. And the illegals in them are a notable percentage.

Then, at least in CA and other sanctuary cities, once these illegal convicted and served their time felons are released, give them a place to avoid deportation.

The Democrats are prostitutes as they will pay for their voters, legal or not. No wonder Trey Gowdy resigned from the Ethics Committee.

I always thought that the Supremacy Clause, meaning Supreme, outweighed the powers of the state thru the 10th Amendment. But, maybe someone can explain it to CA Governor Jerry Brown.

It is time for some Egg Creams, and Nathan Hot Dogs just for me to remember what life was in the America I grew up in and loving.

      Good Morning Lori,

I heard this morning that the lame stream media is blaming Trump for the closure. Sadly, those who get all their "information" from these channels are believing the lie. See you at the Inn.

I am furious as well. If the repubs did this you can be assured there would be a great outcry, probably more protests, riots, etc. This is shameful.

      Dear taxlarry,

The horrendous behavior of the left grows more hypocritical and offensive with each passing minute. I hope their house of cards falls in November, big time. See you at the Inn.

      Dear Tom,

I expect nothing from the Dems, who are concerned only with their own survival. See you at the Inn.

Schmuck Schemer strikes again! schemer, Pelosi and the rest of the demorats want nothing more than to see Trump fail. What they fail to see is that if Trump fails, the country fails. To put illegal aliens above the interests of the citizens of this country is nothing short of treasonous to me. Oh, and while the government is shutdown and our military will not be paid until it no longer is shut down, Pig Pelosi took demorats out to an expensive dinner Saturday night. I wonder who funded that garbage!

      Pop and Harlotte,

Dreamers, sanctuary cities and the sanctuary state of California are proof positive that Democrats don't give a hoot about this nation and her people except to rule us with their iron fists.

I guess we shouldn't expect more from people who advocate slaughter of the innocents in the womb.

      Good Morning Paula,

Schumer is a fool and a liar. Those who put him in office and keep him in office are brain dead. I'll be at the Inn with maven. Meet us there and I'll bring you a quiche.

      Good Morning maven,

Ockham would have had a complete nervous breakdown in Congress. These who prowl the halls have no appreciation for simple explanations. That is why they hate President Trump. He gets to the heart of the matter, and really does want to get things done. See you at the Inn, maven. I'm buying.

      Good Morning, Harlotte and Pop...

You nailed it and Paula confirmed it...This will not stand !!...Our only recourse (at this moment in time) is the voting booth, but even there, as you have sadly pointed out, they get to DC and are eaten by the power bug and the perks that come with an elective office... They become professional politicians, exactly what Thomas Jefferson so feared...And as "professionals" their first thought is self-preservation at the cost of America's preservation...

The funding of the Federal government should be for government entities only...Each department should forecast, audit, and submit a budget to Congress for debate and authorization... This notion of tacking on politically divisive measures should not be allowed...Fund the damn budget and then debate the merits of a controversial measure in Congress where it belongs...Ockham never inhibited the halls of Congress...

The only good part of this SAD article is that Harlotte is serving Quiche.

I don't even need to state my pure's a given, at this point. What next? What else? When they're done doing the damage, flipping the bird at Americans and kissing their own butts....How do we handle these horrendous people?

I have words for Schumer. Terrible but TRUE words. He's just not worth another second of my valuable time.

Congress continues to get paid during the shutdown! If you can find justice in that fact you are smoking way too much weed.

Have a great weekend! I'll be volunteering in my community today. I find it much more rewarding than watching the news and becoming frustrated and angry.
