Can the 2020 Democratic Nominee Beat Donald Trump?

In between escorting a Central American child home and representing celebrity clients like adult film star Stormy Daniels, Michael Avenatti has been quietly building a veritable horde of emphatic supporters who are apparently eager to see his proposed 2020 presidential run.

Mainstream pundits like Joe Scarborough and Tucker Carlson have openly questioned Michael Avenatti's political experience. Though he has never been elected to public office, Mr. Avenatti has performed opposition research for current Chicago Mayor, Rahm Emanuel, and he's been involved in over 150 political campaigns in 42 states, including multiple gubernatorial and congressional campaigns.

When asked by NBC for his opinions on other potential 2020 Democratic presidential campaigns, Michael Avenatti declined to comment on specific individuals. Instead he stated that he feels several would be exceptional in the office of the POTUS.

"The fact of the matter is, I don't think they will match up well against Donald Trump," the attorney explained. "If the Democratic party focuses on nominating the person that will make the best president, that's going to be a critical mistake." According to Avenatti, the most important question to ask is whether or not a potential nominee can beat Donald Trump.

Democrats Must Win Back Former Obama-Supporters Who Became Trump Voters

In addition to his connection with voters who are disillusioned with the current commander in chief, Michael Avenatti has posted a list of policy positions that can only be compared to those of the most progressive, game-changing, left-wing politicians like U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders and congressional hopeful Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Michael Avenatti believes that many Americans who voted for former President Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012 eventually turned their back on the Democratic party after being drawn to Donald Trump. He believes voters in states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Iowa are the keys to the success of the left.

When asked about the strength of leaders on the left, such as House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer, Avenatti admitted that they have been strong, but he also said that it's time for a change.

When asked about his motivations for a presidential run, Michael Avenatti explained that he sees that the United States is at "a precipice of potential disaster" under the leadership of Donald Trump.

"I think our republic is at risk," the attorney stated. "I think that the nation cannot afford another four years of Donald Trump, his disrespect for his office, his disrespect for working people, [and] his policies."
