I May Never Vote Again

Breakfastpop Prepares the Soup

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Monday, November 27, 2017. The bugs are taking a much needed vacation. This has been a very stressful year for them, thanks to hordes of babies who can't come to terms with the fact that Donald Trump is President of the United States. I am preparing alphabet soup and homemade bread for our breakfast this morning. The soup will warm our insides and the letters will help me spell out how I feel about the present and the future. Please join me if you have the time. I'll keep the door open for all of you.

Deaf, Dumb, and Blind

Thanks so much for joining me this morning. The house is very quiet without my friends, so I really appreciate the company. What I don't appreciate is the childish, lying bad behavior of almost every single person, group, institution and media outlet that opposed the election of President Trump. Our airways are inundated with vicious pseudo-journalists who use air-time to spread propaganda against the president and his entire administration. They have systematically refused to report the fact that our economy is getting stronger by the minute, and our unemployment figures are the lowest in 17 years. They have managed to avoid talking about companies that are bringing back jobs to the US. The are deaf and blind to the fact that less and less people are crossing into our country illegally. Instead of talking accomplishment, they are talking impeachment. Instead of applauding a booming stock market they are saying that President Trump is using his power to benefit his company. They pull these lies out of a hat that just keeps spewing garbage, and our nation is being poisoned by their concerted efforts to ruin President Trump and every single person who voted for him. I don't see an end to this madness. In fact, I see it continuing for as long as the outsider "Donald Trump" occupies the White House.

On a personal level, I can see quite clearly that the media lies have done their job. There are too many people, some of whom are my friends, who have bought the fabrications hook, line and sinker. They are intractable. They are unwilling to listen to another point of view. They turn their backs on hard facts, labelling them lies from the first syllable. They are brainwashed, and they are convinced that our president is the devil. They are not alone in their quest to muck up the works. They have an army of "Never Trumpers" ready to jump on the bandwagon.

Congressional Obstructionists

There are people who were elected to serve in Congress who have decided to serve themselves instead. John McCain is a perfect example of such a person. He was sent to Washington to do a job for the country. He says he is a Republican, but he behaves like a Democrat. He is one of about 6 Republican Senators who want to see President Trump fail. If the president fulfills his promises to the country, then this gang of career politicians will have lost there footing on the hill. If the voting public is impressed with how President Trump operates, they won't need these seasoned career egotists to run the show. If Trump can succeed despite their interference, Americans will start succeeding. People like McCain will do everything they can to stop that from happening, and the public be damned. These troublemakers are willing to throw away a minimum of four years by stopping progress for the American people. Apparently, lower taxes, healthcare that works, safe borders and better international relations leaves them cold. They are only interested in keeping their Congressional seats warm for eternity. I would like to kick them out of Washington and our lives once and for all.

The Professional Babies

I lump the entire Democratic Party in the category of infants. They have decided en masse to dedicate the next four years to saying "NO" to absolutely everything. That's what terrible twos mean for the parents of toddlers. The Democrats are babies who wet their pants, cry, and fray everyone's nerves. Toddlers grow out of this phase but the Dems are in it for life.

Somehow they have managed to gain the support of college kids who think socialism is the bomb and ISIS is a club with a black flag. The left wing nuts from yore have now grown up and taking teaching positions. They devote much of their time molding the minds of students who are amenable to being used. The students emerge from school as perfect examples of people who are incapable of thinking their way out of a paper bag. They will make perfect politicians. They will also make perfect left-leaning voters, and America will cease to exist.

Should the worst happen, and a Hillary look and think alike becomes president, I think I will hang up my voter registration card. Nobody ever asks me to produce it anyway, so how important can it be. My vote is my voice, but if I and others like me can't be heard, then I will give this nation the silent treatment. It would probably be good for my health.

Pop's Song

Say a word out of line

Find your friends and family gone

Say good-bye to Washington.....

      Good Morning Glenn,

Thanks for the thumbs up. The issue of fake news is very serious. When the next generation of voters turns out to be clueless, the fake news will be responsible.

I'm glad to see you are an intelligent thinker who seeks the truth rather than believe limited news reports that leave out all the important details to purposely mislead people who don't do their own research. Well done.

      Good Morning Dianna,

It is absolutely insane that voter ID is considered racist. Then again now Santa is considered r, too. Have a wonderful holiday with you and yours.

Your humor is refreshing. I have never had to show my voting card either and I certainly would like to see congress use their seats as more than just warmers.

Thanks, that is very kind of you to say that.

My point is that hp has run its course. Remember that Facebook took over from My Space. It is time hp is taken over by a new player. imho.

Keep writing, it would be nice to have more people read your excellent articles.

      Good Morning brad,

I can't control readership, but as long as people like you are reading, I'm content. As for not registering with a party, I believe it is a good idea, but it probably won't stop the constant phone calls I get asking me for money. In the past, I don't recall being asked to support candidates from other states. I resent the intrusion. See you at the Inn.

Great hub but it is too bad there are so few people that view it much less that comment on it.

I can't believe that there are more than a few hundred people that view articles, and QA. We know how few comments that are made on hp.

      The alternative theory is Apathy.

My opinion is that we should not register with a party, that will force them to woo us for their vote. They do this with the independents and the swing states.

      just a thought :)

      Dear Pino,

If Moochelle runs, I'll have to leave the country. I have no doubt that she would win. I just scared myself so much, I am leaving for the Inn.

Please continue to vote. That is how Trump became President, and we need to continue to keep him in office.

I heard today that Michelle Obama will step up to run in 2020. I hope that is wrong.

Somehow we need to shut down the liberal media. I don't know how, but they need to be shut down.

The only place of comfort these days at the virtual tavern; in fact, I am going there right now. See you there....

      Good Morning Susan,

Thanks so much for kind words. As far as the world is concerned with people like you, Billy, and Tom in it, there will always be hope.

      Good Morning billy,

I remember one year where I received two presidential votes. Then there was another year where i received three votes for governor. Maybe a write-in is the way to go when there is no way to go. See you at the Inn.

      Good Morning Tom,

Those opposed to Trump are relentless. They don't care about the nation at all. If they did they would move to the center, and I am taking about both parties. There really is no other way.

You are such a gifted writer, Pop. You say what I think. It breaks my heart, yet it also tells me that this world is not our home and there is an enemy at work behind the scenes. Jesus told us so. Thanks, Pop, keep telling the truth with your words!!

I identify completely with your frustration. The fact that the present state of affairs was predictable doesn't lessen the pain that it inflicts on the republic. I do not see a peaceful solution.

A riddle for us: who do you vote for when there are no honest politicians in town? I guess we could just cut out the middle man and vote for our favorite corporation.

      Have a great week, Pop!
