Buzzy is at the Table

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Monday, October 24, 2016. Our well travelled friend, Buzzy, is at the breakfast table this morning. He has been flying along with President Obama, picking up bits and pieces about a plan to take control of the press. Personally, I thought that already happened, but Obama is talking about all of the media. Please join Buzzy this morning for scones and Irish coffee. Let's chat about this new abomination and assault on our way of life in America. I hope to see you soon.

Stop the Press!

Thank you for joining Pop and me for breakfast. I have something on my mind which only involves the upcoming election in a peripheral way. It concerns President Obama and his views about the media. Although he is on his way out, his protege Hillary will probably continue the initiative if she is elected. President Obama has pangs of regret about the media. So do many of us, but his feelings are a bit darker. He longs for the day when there were very few media outlets. The preponderance of networks and print media reminds him of the wild west. He is tired of all the conspiracy theories. He is tired of all the people, scientists included, who question the validity of global warming. He is tired of the never ending supply of information spewing out to the public. After all, according to the president, we the ignorant public haven't a clue about what is true and what is false.

We Need a Magic Wand

The solution, according to the president, is not censorship. I think he would probably vote for that remedy, but to do so is politically incorrect, not to mention unconstitutional. Instead, he believes that big brother government can help sort out what is newsworthy. I thought I was scared before, but now I am terrified. He is calling for a "curating" operation that would discard information that is unapproved. This conjures up images of government thugs closing down printing presses and turning "unapproved" shows off the air. The president has admitted that this will be difficult to accomplish, but he is certain it is necessary. Did we just morph into a totalitarian nation? It is beginning to feel like that. After all, the government seems to be in charge of the so-called main-stream media. Now they want to wipe an outlet like Fox News off the air. Personally, this sounds like censorship to me. In Obamaland, only state approved views would see the light of day. I am certain Pop and my other insect friends would be silenced. The internet will not escape the scrutiny of the government.

Good Reason to Cry

There is no doubt that the media has been tainted. Even social media is taking its orders from the left. You would think that President Obama would be satisfied with the results of all of these years of propaganda. Apparently, what he wants is total control of the media, and he means all of it. The attempt to brainwash all of us has not succeeded as well as the left had hoped. Donald Trump's popularity is proof that loads of people are sick of being lied to and manipulated by the government, aka the leftist press, aka the man-stream media. There is plenty of reliable information out there, but it takes some doing to find it and absorb it. I would love to see the major propaganda outlets die a natural death. No ratings and no sales, spell death. Let's hope for the best and do what we can to keep the truth alive and our voices heard. God Bless our America, not the left's version of our nation.

And let me live where I am free...

      Dear Mike,

I have no doubt that you are right. There is so much widespread ignorance about communism and socialism that many millennials view them in a positive light. They must be channeling Obama. Scary! See you at the Inn.

Buzzy...This reminds me of the phrase by George Orwell, "...All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others."

There is nothing Obama and Hillary won't do to maintain their elitist status.

Here is a link for anyone interested in what Obama said about curating:

Perhaps when Obama was working with Cuba he received a autographed copy of their playbook.

Step #1: Eliminate the free press as soon as possible. The free press will make it very difficult for you to lead your country into Communism or Socialism.

He obviously reviewed their success and modeled his plan after theirs.

      Good Morning taxlarry,

Sometimes I feel like I am living in a foreign country. Let me amend that to say that I feel like I am living in a third world country. See you at the Inn.

Finding reliable information takes work. I don't think many Americans are interested in hard work. Thus, the popularity of mainstream media.

      Good Morning Tom,

You're right. Book burning is on the horizon if we continue on this path. How did we ever get to this place? See you at the Inn, Tom.

Part of the tragedy of the leftist media's rise is that people believe whatever the media feeds them. We do not have a smart and informed voting public, so any leftist message is totally accepted. How do you think Obama got elected and hillary is the current front-runner?

      Pop and Buzzy,

The spirit of book burning is alive and well in the American left. God bless Big Brother.
