Veganism is growing in popularity and the reason is mainly that people are discovering our cultural love affair with meat may need to be reconsidered for many, many reasons. Whether it's because the animals are treated terribly, which is true, or because evidence is showing a more plant-based diet is healthier, interest keeps growing and the conversation is being had. Regardless, meat consumption is in question and veganism is on the rise.
The Meat of the Matter
More and more people seem to be more attracted to vegetarian and vegan lifestyles these days for a variety of reasons. We are in an age in which vigilance is growing because when it comes to our food, there are unseen dangers everywhere. People are realizing that the healthcare industry can’t be trusted. The main directive of the healthcare industry which is compromised by the pharmaceutical industry is to keep people functionally ill and sell drugs. Of course, that isn’t what people who work in healthcare set out to do, but it is how the system is structured by the powers that be and it's beyond their control. Consequently, and as illnesses rise, people are getting more interested in health and self-preservation. Our foods are being loaded with poisons, preservatives, GMO’s and meat is more dangerous now than it has even been. And so, for a variety of reasons, veganism is appealing to a wider group of people.
Perhaps the main reason is animal cruelty. The way animals are treated by the meat industry is absolutely shocking. Animal cruelty is high on the list for people deciding to turn away from meat and the use of animal products.
Another reason people are deciding not to eat meat is for health. Although corporate media platforms sponsored by the meat and dairy industries want to hide it, it is a proven fact that it is healthier to eat less meat and eat more fruits and vegetables. However, in addition to that, many of the animals are diseased and full of hormones, steroids, and GMO foods. So considering the risks already associated with meat consumption, the hormones and toxins are making the meat significantly less safe. Many people are dying younger to cancer, several heart diseases, and ailments but the powers that be are not telling us that the problems lie in our food.
Below is just some food for thought on how veganism is becoming the way to go for many.
The Treatment of Animals Is a Problem
Animal cruelty is a serious problem. It is so bad, it is a fair assumption to deduce that the people running these industries are psychopaths. Little chickens are tossed alive into grinders or left in bags to suffocate and die if they are not needed. Pigs are kept in cells where they could hardly move forward or backward, and so they go insane. The animals are fattened up unnaturally, kicked, beaten routinely, and slaughtered brutally. If people saw first hand how some of the animals are treated, it may turn several people around on the spot. The callous viciousness is overwhelming.
Another thing tipping the scales for many people deciding to go vegan has to do with the fact that sickness and disease is becoming more prevalent primarily because of the animal-based foods, in addition to preservatives and chemicals.

The powers that be are making it so it is very hard for people to not get sick these days. This is what happens when you have low-vibrational people who are not of a spiritual nature in charge of things they probably shouldn’t have anything to do with. And because the people running these industries are ignorant and low-vibrational, they don’t understand the importance of life around them, life in general, treating animals with respect and consequently the trauma inside very food they intend to ingest into their own bodies.
Not only are the animals being treated horribly, they are also not very safe for consumption the way they are being drugged up and fed to be unnaturally bigger and fatter. Many of the animals are diseased, pumped up with drugs, mistreated and abused to the point of insanity and trauma, and then we eat that. Yes, we ingest that trauma and all the toxic garbage put in them too. This is not how man was meant to prepare food to ingest. It is unfortunate but true; a lot of the diseases people are contracting are coming directly from the food we eat and the meat. They just won’t ever admit that to us publicly. They want us blissfully ignorant consumers of everything, as things are served to us how poorly regulated corporations see most efficient. There is going to be a steady increase in diabetes, cancers, death due to heart attack or heart issues and lots of diseases. They just won't ever tell us we’re eating it into reality. As a result, many are choosing not to be an active participant in an industry that continues to treat animals and people disgracefully.
We’re governed by people only concerned with money. So we have all of these greedy lunatics in charge, maximizing profits and not caring that our food is one of the most important things in life. And if the animals are sick, fattened up on GMO foods, drugged up, and living through trauma, serving that to us is unleashing a plague into society. It’s either one or the other; these people are either not too intelligent and they don’t understand any of this, or they’re callous, soulless, driven by money and they don’t care.

The Lost Wisdom in Eating Plants Over Animals
We are taught many things incorrectly. Other things are completely lost or omitted. One powerful factoid that isn't widely known is that many indigenous human societies were not meat eaters.
Each of us can study our respective genealogies and histories and we can learn many awesome things. In this society we love meat because we’re socialized into it. We have lost a lot of the spiritual wisdom and reasons for not eating animals from great civilizations who's histories have been altered, destroyed or simply forgotten. Many sophisticated societies did not eat meat. For example, ancient Egyptians and neighboring societies were mostly vegetarian. In these regions, the people mostly ate fruit, wheat and barley.

Eating meat is not instinctive for humans, we live in a society that socializes us to eat meat. For example, we never eat it in its rawest form. We season it up with all sorts of savory flavorings and in a way, trick ourselves into a culture of loving it. As humans nuts, berries and fruits catch our eye most naturally, and we can eat most of them on the spot as they are. And it tastes good as it is. We wouldn’t instinctively see a moose, rabbit, squirrel or dog run past, start salivating and thinking of them as delicious. And if given a bloody slab of a cow or chicken, most of us would not want that and would not be able to eat it. Even if we cooked it. Nowadays we grill, barbecue and season our meat to its savory goodness and glorify it. And that psychological conditioning to food as we know it is where we are now.
When we eat meat we are also eating DNA, genetic codes and information. In addition to avoiding meat being healthier according to research statistics, ancient sages from enlightened societies also knew the importance and benefits of living a clean and healthy animal free diet.
The Challenges With Going Vegan
What are the drawbacks to being vegan? For starters, it’s sometimes dealing with people. When they find out your vegan, some people sometimes come around, appoint themselves a nutrition expert, subtly challenge the vegan diet with a preconceived notion that it is not optimal or that it’s risky because they don’t really know any information or statistics. And so some folks condescendingly ask questions, and sometimes stupid questions. "So, what do you even ever eat?" "Where do you get your protein?" "So, do you only eat fruits and vegetables?" Or they tell you about an extremely isolated case about something they heard about a vegan’s nutrition deficiency health issue. They say this not understanding that the vegan could counter that with way more meat-eating-related health issues. It wouldn't be worth it to bother as it'd probably be a waste of time. Many people who ask these sorts of questions are people who do not understand evolved thinking or haven’t ever challenged what they believe regarding food. Many people are locked in their own perspective. The truth is that going vegan is a lot better for lots of people health-wise in several categories in a way that does not need defense. However, no drastic change to the body is good. Going vegan obviously needs to be done correctly in a prepared and researched manner to best transition yourself over.
Another thing that has been challenging is getting used to figuring out what to eat every day. Sure you know the basics: fruits, vegetables, berries, nuts, veggie burgers, pasta, etc., etc. But many new vegans realize they have to learn how to prepare and shop in a completely revolutionized way and get used to new habits and routines. It's easy to know what you can't eat, but familiarizing yourself with new dishes and things you can eat is a process.
Another big challenge going vegan presents is the realization that you might get stuck with nothing to eat all the time, so you may have to bring your own snacks everywhere just in case. Several places you go may make no preparation for vegan eating. In restaurants, airports, other people's homes and lots of places, there might be burgers, chicken wings and hot dogs everywhere, but not a morsel for a vegan as the stomach growls.
Eventually, your family and friends grow to respect how you eat and get used to knowing they should have more variety and it works out in time. Sometimes people in your life even start to lean toward veganism themselves which is always a good thing.
Finding Your Own Path
In short and in closing going vegan is obviously good for the animals and the food industry. The less animals we torture and slaughter the better. Many people don’t understand but the energy we put out in the universe is meaningful be it positive or negative. That includes animals. In regards to personal health, the less meat we ingest and the less contaminated and unsafe food we eat the better. It improves people’s health, it improves the environment, preserves natural resources and as a ripple effect, it really does make everything better. Again, the more vegans there are, the better the world is and that is not an exaggeration. It’s just facts.
In general its always good practice to never criticize things, rules things out, blow things off, or ignore information pertaining to a differing perspective. Preferring to eat meat is a choice people are entitled to. Regardless it's good to spend our time on earth learning things and challenging what we think and believe. It's also good to know everything there is to know about what you do or what you don’t do, and what you are and what you aren’t by your informed choice. Going vegan may not be up everyone's alley, but when it comes to something as important as our health it's definitely worth knowing all there is to know, from soup to nuts.
