Rip Walsh is an Adjunct Professor at Long Island University who lives in Northport, N.Y. and whose main academic interests are U.S. History and Politics. He has written three books, a memoir- "Shine the Light of Love" , one on the presidents -"Profiles in Presidential Leadership: Washington to Lincoln to FDR to ?", and "Battle Hymn: The Best and Worst Civil War Generals", which will be released by Pelican Books in June, 2016. The first two are available at Amazon. Besides history, Rip loves sports, especially lacrosse and hockey, and all things Irish. He has 4 children and two grandchildren, along with two large Newfoundland dogs.
