Armed with a BA in History earned in 1973 I debated between conquering the world and sitting back and taking it all in. After living for three years in Avalon, NJ I moved to Philadelphia to use my education and became a locomotive mechanic at 30th Street Station. Injured on the job after twelve years I was forced to come up with another career. After a short stint with a law firm, essentially checking out the legal game and what it was all about, I returned to school and received my Certification to teach in Pennsylvania as well as a Masters in Educational Leadership. For the next fifteen years I taught alternative school kids in both public school and lockdown settings. I left teaching to start my own custom framing business where I got Bushwacked by the economy in 2010. Since then I've been doing advertising for smaller companies, watching the last of my five kids do battle with their teen years and playing with the grandkids.
