For Jorge, writing a quirky story, translating a children's book, patenting a ventilation device, and publishing research on plant's photosynthesis, or on molecules linked to cancer, are all part of his relentless curiosity about the world.
Jorge Cruz began his career as a professor Organic Chemistry and earned his Ph.D. in the field of Biology. He worked as Program Leader at an Agriculture Research Institute before moving to Canada. In the land of the maple trees, Jorge has succeeded as Senior Research Scientist at McMaster University and two biotechnology companies. During his career, Jorge has published a dozen of scientific articles in three different disciplines and has authored several patents in fields as diverse as Bioanalytical Chemistry and Aerodynamics. The only coffee he drinks is espresso and he spends more time charging the cell phone than using it.
