Idus Martiae

Just a student of life musing on the comings and goings of the world and those who inhabit it.

Idus Martiae ~ The Ides of March.
March the 15th, the day in the Roman Calendar by which all debts were to be settled.
In 44BC it was the day that Julius Ceaser was stabbed to death.

“Beware the Ides of March” attributed to Caeser in William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar although it is said he never uttered the words in real life. The phrase, however, has become entrenched in history.
